On the morning of April 13th, 2021, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the party, one of the series of activities of "Reciting Classics & Learning Party History" and "Xicheng Recitation Month", the 4th Begonia Poetry Gala with the theme of "Begonia Blossoms and Dreams Blooming" was held at the former residence of Song Qingling as planned. The poetry gala was co-hosted by the Propaganda Department of the Beijing Xicheng District Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Beijing Xicheng District Culture and Tourism Bureau, and the management center of the former residence of Qingling Song. And it was livestreamed simultaneously by Guangming Network (GMW.cn), Xicheng Culture and Showself Live of Scienjoy etc.
On the event site, nearly a hundred reading enthusiasts, famous broadcasters and famous presenters recited classics, relived the 100-year history of the founding of the Party, singing the spring of the times praise. Well-known broadcast artists Li Lihong, Wu Junquan, Xiao Wei, RanDi, Li Yangwei (host of Beijing Radio and Television), Yan Yiyi, Tan Jianghai, etc. appeared in turn. They excitedly interpreted the revolutionary forefathers' classics "Difficult National Movement and The Magnificent National", "Tomb side Mourning Song", "Reclimb Jinggangshan" or affectionately interpretated the "Big World Small World" " Courtyard Full of Fragrance. Chixi Clear Water Flow", "Financial Street Freehand" and other modern poems, praising the revolutionary martyr’s rock-solid revolutionary pursuit and interpretating the descendants of Yan Huang fighting together against "epidemic". They praised China's poverty alleviation efforts, showed the world-famous Beijing Financial Street great construction, highlighted the rapid development of the Xicheng District. Meanwhile, the staff of Song Qingling Former Residence Management Centre recited the original poem "Song Qingling in the History of the Communist Party of China", vividly showing Comrade Song Qingling's life in the revolution with the caring for the national conditions.
Through the vivid and emotional interpretation of poetry, the gala three-dimensionally presented the Chinese people’s achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation's unremitting struggle for the course. In the fight against the epidemic and poverty alleviation, the Xicheng District fully played the political advantages of the capital's functional core area, making continuous efforts for the perfect closure of "13th Five-Year Plan" and taking the baton of "14th Five-Year Plan" to open a new chapter.
